Steve Ballmer: What would you like me to talk about?

Microsoft Chief Executive Steve Ballmer is asking: What would you like me to talk about?

The company created a website where anyone can post a comment suggesting topics for Ballmer to talk about in his annual keynote atthe company's Worldwide Partners Conference in July in Los Angeles. It's a YouSpeech.

So far there are five comments, all focused on business specific questions. The partners conference is for companies that resell, build on or sell services related to Microsoft's products.

The comments reveal some angst about cloud computing, which Microsoft has invested heavily in and is relying on its partners to sell. Here are some of the comments:

Commenter Andy Trish wrote, "The cloud may be good, in some cases even brilliant, but partners are being smothered in cloud and some are turning against the idea purely by the constant barrage of cloud marketing."

"Please explain how senior management are working to communicate and fully vet out programs before they land and better understand the needs of ALL partners. Keep in mind, you are NOT the only game in town," came from commenter Stephen Feldman.

One commenter asked how partner companies can work Windows Phone 7 into its offerings.

You can check out all five comments (as of Wednesday morning) and add your own at Microsoft's website, or feel free to suggest topics in the comments section. (Our comments section is almost certainly less moderated than the Microsoft site.)
