Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck goes with a Windows Phone

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck uses a Windows Phone.

Hasselbeck did a brief Q and A on Twitter Monday about his thoughts on Microsoft's mobile offering, apps he recommends and why he is also an iPad owner. He's not a paid endorser (see tweet below). He is on Twitter @hasselbeck.

Microsoft is trying to gain some traction with its new mobile operating system against Apple's iPhone and Google's Android software. It launched in October but only has a small percentage of the market compared with its competitors. The most promising news for the phone so far has been that Nokia will put Windows Phone on its new smartphones.

Thank you to Seattle Times NFL reporter Danny O'Neil, @dannyoneil on Twitter, for alerting me to Hasselbeck's switch. He's the most high profile endorser I have encountered so far. (Hasselbeck, not Danny.)

You can find me @sharonpianchan on Twitter.
