Virgin Media has added the 3D version of Disney's Tron: Legacy and JackAss 3D to its stereoscopic content line-up.

The new movies are available for rental on the platform from today (18 April) alongside existing 3D movies, such as?Despicable Me,?Legends of The Guardians - The Owls of Ga’Hoole and?Saw: The Final Chapter.

3D films on Virgin Media are available from ?3.99 for a 2 day rental, while JackAss 3D costs ?5.99 and Tron: Legacy ?6.49. They're all available to customers with a V HD, V+ HD or TiVo box.

As well as the two new films, the deals struck with?Paramount Pictures and The Walt Disney Company UK & Ireland could potentially bear further fruit later on: "We’re thrilled to be adding this exciting range of new movies to our 3D video on demand service from two of the biggest studios Paramount Pictures and Disney," says?Aleks Habdank, director of On Demand Television & Strategy.

Incidentally, Tron: Legacy also has the distinction of being the first ever movie to have had more pre-orders on Amazon.co.uk as a 3D Blu-ray than with any other format, DVD and normal Blu-ray included.
