Free calendar app from Microsoft for Admin Professionals Day

For Administrative Professionals Day on Wednesday, Microsoft is giving away a Calendar Analytics application for free.

The free PC software helps analyze where you're allocating your time, based on Microsoft's business intelligence software PowerPivot. The software creates a dashboard summary based on calendar information from Microsoft Exchange.

Microsoft said in a news release that it is making the software available to show how easy it is to use business intelligence software, often called BI, such as PowerPivot.

You will need Windows 7, Excel and PowerPivot to run the application.

This sounds more like a gift for bosses who want time management reports than for administrative professionals. Administrative professionals who work for bosses who download this tool can add "collect Calendar Analytics reports from all team members" to their to-do list.

Managers usually buy flowers for administrative professionals on this holiday.

Here is where you can download the calendar analytics software for free. Microsoft also made a video about it.
