Phone bill and PAYG options added
Samsung has revealed that its TV and Bada mobile users will now be able to charge their app purchases to their phone bill, or mobile phone balance.
Look, we know it's not the most exciting announcement in the world, but the platform recently hit 100 million downloads, so there's a massive customer base out there who'll be interested in the news - particularly those people not comfortable handing over their credit cards.
To, er, "celebrate" the new billing options Sammy is also running a promo competition called "Buy Hot Apps, Get Cool Gadgets" whereby anyone buying an app from 17 May to 20 June will be in with a chance of grabbing some cool tech.
“At Samsung Apps we’re committed to doing all we can to provide our customers with an enhanced user experience” said Keith O’Brien, head of content, Mobile, Samsung UK. “The new payment method offers flexibility, choice and ultimately a simpler purchase journey.”
