Investment bank Goldman Sachs has hired a new analyst to cover Microsoft and other software companies, Heather Bellini.
Bellini previously covered software at International Strategy and Investment. Her new title will be managing director of equity research covering software. She will be based in New York and is scheduled to start the job in early June, according to Goldman Sachs.
This fills a position that has been vacant for four months since the previous analyst, Sarah Friar, left Goldman Sachs in January. In April, Friar joined Salesforce.com, a Microsoft competitor, as senior vice president of finance and strategy. Friar had covered Microsoft since 2007.
Goldman Sachs is the investment bank that first took Microsoft public.
Bellini had been a senior managing director at ISI since 2007. She previously worked at UBS.
Bellini graduated from Columbia Business School in 1997, according to Goldman.
