Icons for FaceTime, Photo Booth and Camera turn up in iOS 4.3
Developers who’ve downloaded the next version of Apple’s iOS operating system apart of the developer programme have found even more clues to the addition of a camera on the next iPad.
Confirming what most are now taking as a given, the clues all but confirm that the new model will allow you to FaceTime your friends with other Mac devices.
“Apple's developer release of?iOS 4.3 Beta 2?has provided more visual evidence confirming that the next iPad will carry a front facing camera as well as the Apple Camera App and Photo Booth App”, reports MacRumours.com
According to the site “homeScreenOverlayFaceTime~ipad.png was found in the latest beta and is used by iOS to show a preview of your wallpaper selection”.
And that’s right, you guessed it, that image contains images of three new icons; FaceTime, Camera, and Photo Booth.
Of course there is an outside chance that Apple is just messing with us and that the camera features might not make it into iOS 4.3 at all, but that, let’s face it, would be just mean.
Apple has confirmed that it is working on future versions of the iPad, however as of yet has yet to detail when we could expect an announcement or a general release.
